The Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton County is a
nonprofit that provides a coordinated, multi-agency
approach to the investigation, intervention, and
treatment of child sexual and physical abuse.
Located in a restored, child-friendly house, CAC of
Benton County provides a non-threatening, secure,
child-friendly environment for the children and
families we serve.
In addition to the CAC team of skilled
professionals, our multidisciplinary team is
comprised of: |
 |
• Municipal law enforcement agencies
• Arkansas Department of Children and Family
Services • Benton County Prosecutor’s Office
Case criteria for the Benton County
multidisciplinary team include the most severe and
complex cases of sexual and physical abuse of
children up to age 18.
The CAC provides the leadership, volunteers and
education to implement the multidisciplinary team
approach.
Direct forensic interviewing and counseling services
are provided by our highly-trained staff.
SANE is a registered
nurse (R.N.) who has advanced educational and
clinical preparation in forensic examination of
sexual assault victims.
SANE programs address several problems in the
medical-legal response to sexual assault victims in
hospital emergency departments.
Funding for the Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton
County is provided by individual and corporate
contributions and special event revenue. |
